Real name: Claimed to be Tooru Niimura but also known to be Nishimura. He anyway dislikes his real name, and some people have even said he has changed Kyo as his real name. Anyway his name is written西村享 which would be translated Nishmura Tooru.

Former stagenames: In Gesshoku he was called Yoma, in Visun he was called Hotoma, so also in Masquerade. Lastly, in Haijin Kurobarazoku he became Kyo.

Kyo's nickname is Warumono, meaning 'bad person' but which also is his favorite manga. I'm not sure if Kyo's really that bad person (actually I believe he isn't), I guess he tries to just to be one, and hopes avoid being called cute. But if you read his writings and lyrics, he never writes happy end. Sometimes songs don't have anykind of end at all, he just leaves it open, or tells it before the end.

Kyo hates his real name. This is easy to confirm with the information that he has never used in any band, he has always had stagename. The kanji comes from name of his hometown, Kyoto. There would be also a other kanji for the name Kyo. When Kyo was small, he decided not to learn any kanji. He anyway is skilled writer (and his poems and lyrics have kanjis) and in his one message, there are kanjis, so this thing might be also rumor.

Also the reason why Kyo refers Kiyoharu as loved person is very clear. He began his musician career as roadie for Kuroyume. Back in these days he was really young, he joined his first band in age of 17. When he finally joined Haijin Kurobarazoku (also known sometimes as Invalid Black Rose Family) he met Shinya who was drummer for this band and as well Kisaki, who was their bassist. After this La:Sadie's was formed and Die and Kaoru joined it later.

Also, before he decided to be the vocalist, he tried almost every instrument that belongs to the normal band. He can also play guitar and bass somehow, and he is actually playing bass in one of Dir en grey's DVD.s

Kyo is not only really good at writing and singing, he is also able to fall asleep in anywhere, and that's what I'd call a skill. He is not only able to say this, he has proven it in interview by falling asleep. Another thing he enjoys to do is during interview is lying, so we should basically look carefully to anything he has said during them.

Kyo has really versatile and powerful voice (I am telling this just in case that someone hasn't noticed) and when he has got older, it sounds more and more scary and powerful. Quoting Kaoru: "You don't need to understand what he sings, you can hear it from his voice and understand perfectly". I really think this is true. Kyo not only has versatile voice, he knows how to use it and he has many many differend singing styles.

Even Dir en grey's music is pushing all the time to harder and harder way, Kyo still can make it. He can be first acting like he is vomiting, then giggling, and there is prove for this. He only is not good at yelling and screaming, he is really awesome singer in calm songs too. His voice is dark but also so sweet , even mostly you don't notice it because he is yelling. But this is just the truth, and when you pay attention to this, you really notice it

Kyo is really active and loves his audience during the concert. He can basically throw himself to another side of stage, he scratches and cuts himself, dances, yells and does other stuff to entertain fans, and himself. If someone is really in fond of the audience, he is. He wants the show to look cool and pays attention to it. Not only by singing, he does it everything and it looks really cool.

Year 2000 he got an acute acoustic trauma, which means he can't hear very well with his left ear. Acoute acustic trauma means injury in the hearing mechanisms and it's caused by extremely loud noise.

Kyo has told that when Dir en grey was still visual kei, he got his inspiration to clothes from casual clothes like suits and kimonos, but still, when they're not anymore visual kei, it's still very usual to him have somekind of suit and cool hat. In now-time, he usually has blonde hair and it's combed up. He also usually stays in stage without shirt, because he still has got good and hot body, but this is not only reason. It makes the cutting easier and probably he feels also less hot like this.

Kyo's production doesn't end to Dir en grey. He has released two poem books, both have included a CD. First one is Jigyaku, Rensou Furan Cinema (2001) and the CD which comes with it is called Daisan Teikoku Gakudan, as for the second CD isn't 'specially named'. Also, Kagerou (and now days The studs.) have in their booklets: "Special thanks: 京".
